Welcome to Wild Edge Panama – Kumana Safari Lodge.
By confirming a reservation or staying with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. We encourage all guests to read this carefully before making a booking.
1. Bookings and Payments
- All reservations must be confirmed through our official website, by email, or via WhatsApp.
- A deposit or full payment may be required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, online payment gateway, or approved credit cards.
- Rates are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include applicable government taxes unless otherwise stated.
- We offer two rate categories: Residents and Non-Residents.
- All Non-Residents must proceed with the Non-Resident rate, even if an incorrect rate was selected during booking.
- Guests must present a valid resident permit to qualify for the Resident rate.
- If a guest is unable to provide valid proof, the rate difference must be settled upon check-out.
- Group bookings, special requests, or custom packages should be confirmed in writing before arrival.
2. Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in: from 2:00 PM
- Check-out: by 11:00 AM
- Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged subject to room availability and may incur additional charges.
- Guests are requested to inform us in advance of their expected arrival time to ensure smooth check-in arrangements.
3. Cancellations and Date Changes
- We do not offer refunds for any cancellations, early departures, or no-shows.
- Guests may request date changes, which can be approved subject to availability and lodge schedule.
- Date changes should be requested at least 7 days prior to arrival.
- In case of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, road closures), we will assist with rescheduling your stay wherever possible.
4. Meals and Dining Policy
As our lodge is located in a remote rural area, our kitchen operates on a pre-planned meal system to ensure quality and minimize waste.
To help us serve fresh and well-prepared meals, please note:
- All guests are required to select and confirm their meal plan prior to arrival.
- Last-minute meal requests or changes cannot be accommodated once on-site.
- Meals are prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients — some from nearby villages.
- A minimum of 4 guests is required to offer multiple meal options per serving time.
- If your group has fewer than 4 guests, only one meal option can be prepared per mealtime.
- Vegetarian and special dietary requests can be arranged with advance notice only.
- Meal service times are fixed to ensure smooth preparation and timely serving.
Safari Meals
- For morning safaris, we provide packed sandwiches for breakfast at no additional cost.
- We do not provide packed lunches, but we can deliver lunch to the Kumana park entrance or inside the park for an additional charge.
- Lunch delivery rates:
- To park entrance: 3,000 LKR (by tuk-tuk delivery)
- Inside the park: 15,000 LKR (by jeep delivery)
- Please inform us of your safari meal requirements at least one day in advance.
This policy allows us to manage fresh ingredients responsibly and provide the best possible dining experience for all guests.
5. Noise and Conduct
- Wild Edge Panama is designed for peace, relaxation, and a close connection to nature.
- Parties, events, or loud music are strictly not allowed on the property.
- Guests are kindly asked to keep conversations and activities quiet, especially during early mornings and nights, to respect other guests and surrounding wildlife.
- We reserve the right to request any guest causing disturbance to leave the property without refund.
6. Driver Accommodation and Access
- We do not provide on-site driver accommodation.
- However, we can help arrange driver lodging nearby with prior notice.
- Only registered guests are permitted to enter and stay at the property for safety and privacy reasons.
7. Pets
- Pets are not allowed at the lodge.
This policy helps protect both our guests and the surrounding wildlife.
8. Liability and Safety
- Wild Edge Panama operates close to Kumana National Park, within a wildlife buffer zone.
Guests may encounter wild animals around the property — please act responsibly and follow all safety instructions provided by our staff. - The lodge is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
- We are also not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from guest negligence or failure to follow safety guidelines.
- Guests must use all lodge facilities, equipment, and safari vehicles at their own risk.
- We recommend all guests obtain travel and medical insurance that covers activities in remote and wildlife areas.
9. Privacy and Data Use
- Personal details collected during bookings are used solely for reservation and communication purposes.
- We do not share or sell guest information to any third party without consent.

10. Force Majeure
Wild Edge Panama is not liable for delays, cancellations, or service interruptions caused by natural disasters, wildlife activity, extreme weather, pandemics, power outages, or any other circumstances beyond our control.
